Volunteers play an integral role at Katzen Cat Santuary. The many cats under our care have so many needs to be met; we couldn’t possibly do it without the help of our volunteers. If you have some extra time and love to give, we can use your help!

Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Volunteers aged between 13 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Due to safety issues, we regretfully cannot take in volunteers below 13.

WHAT TYPE OF HELP IS NEEDED?



​Cat Caretaker – Help keep the cat’s homes looking their best. Get down and dirty cleaning up after our resident kitties. It’s not glamorous, but the cats sure appreciate you for it. It’s volunteering, but you get paid well in purrs and affection. Spend time with the cats while you work and make new friends!



​Grooming – Help keep our animals looking their best. If you are an experienced groomer, by all means do volunteer.



​Fundraising/Offsite Events – Help spread the word by helping staff a booth at a local event or adopt-a-thon. Volunteering may include transporting animals and/or materials and being comfortable talking to the public. Bubbly, outgoing personality a plus!



​Maintenance - Katzen Cat Sanctuary has been around for two years and the rescue facility could use a little work! Routine maintenance or specialties can be utilized! If you’re a carpenter, electrician, painter or just handy, consider volunteering!



Organizational Specialist - Love to keep things organized? We could use a few handy volunteers to conduct upkeep on some of our storage areas. It’s a volunteer experience that makes you feel like you’ve accomplished something to help animals!
